Mining subsidence and flooding created what has now become the 'Flash', a 70 hectare lake set in a countryside park - nationally renowned for its birdlife.

What to see
Wildfowl, plover, waders, finches. Good feeding station for small birds. Hides around smaller ponds allow for excellent close-up views.
