Small songbirds have suffered in the cold weather, but this also resulted in more sightings of less frequent visitors such as fieldfares, yellowhammers and bullfinches feeding in gardens due to a lack of food in the country.

The Guardian's Data Blog has some analysis of the data, which includes the percentage changes from last year's numbers - for instance the Long Tailed Tit, last year's new entry into the top 10, was down 27%.
